TEACHERS, STUDENTS AWARDED HANDSOMELY FOR DEDICATION AND HARDWORK
Following the recent release of Senior WAEC result on Thursday, 25th July 2019, the SS3 students of St Joseph Secondary School Emene all came out in flying colors to uphold the learning legacy of the school.
It was announced to the public on Saturday, 27th July 2019 when Rev Fr Marcellinus Aneke who is the current Administrator of the school addressed the guests and the grandaunts during their graduation ceremony within the school premises.
He Said:
“To tell you that the school lost a number of almost 100 students because, they were afraid to sit down and write WAEC without any aids, but these able and noble young men and women of great honor who are before us today dared the situation.”
The priest furthered by narrating how he encouraged the 50 remaining students who stayed back to keep on working hard that the sky will be their limit. He was determined to put in all it takes to ensure they are properly capacitated to write the exams without any external aids and come out in flying colors.
Continuing with his heartfelt speech, Father Aneke talked about how the teachers were charged to put in extra works in their activities. He also spoke about the plans of the school to award best performing teachers and scholars which was first witnessed on 27th July 2019 being the school’s thanksgiving and award feast.
The overall best in out gone SS3 students was rewarded with cash prize of N20,000 and award of four certificates as an evidence of goodwill.
Best committed teacher, most punctual teacher and best lesson note teacher were each awarded with a plaque, certificate and cash prize of N10,000.
The school also awarded the best student from each class a cash prize of N5000. This is to encourage the staff and students so that they can do more as the school strives to become the best in Educational sector.
The event was honored by the presence of Rev Fr Jude Nzekwe, who is the present chairman of Enugu Diocese Catholic Education Commission, Rev Fr Marcellinus Aneke who is the Administrator of St Joseph Secondary School Emene, The chaplian of Enugu state government house, Rev Fr Adaoji Ogochukwu, Rev Chiawa Uchenna, The Staff and Students of St Joseph Secondary School Emene and other invited guests.
